Path to Power (Koch Bros. Style)

Third parties are a political non-starter in the U.S. The Republicans and the Democrats have seen to that. They have stacked the deck against any challenges to their supremacy through laws and court rulings. They may have laid the groundwork for their own demise. The Koch Bros., realizing this, set out on a different tack to gain political power. Their plan would take a lot of money (no problem for them) and a lot of organization. And they pulled it off.

The Koch Bros. path was to infiltrate and take hostage an established political party and completely change it's ideology. They have been successful to this point. They are one election away from dictating the ideology of a nation. At this point they have gridlocked the House of Representatives and for all intense and purposes shut down the government's ability to do the business of legislating.

The Tea Party's timing was impeccable. Desperate, after the election of Barack Obama in 2008, the Republican Party sold it's soul to the radical fringe to win an election in 2010. The Tea Party was right there to buy. And now they are on the brink of toppling the Speaker of the House who was a major soul seller in 2010.

With the Tea Party holding the Republican Party hostage with a gun to their head we'll have to wait and see how the 2012 election goes and wether the Tea Party will be able to pull the trigger.
